With macro/close-up lenses, I give an intimate look at botanicals by highlighting details like color, texture, and shape. By utilizing the rotational symmetry of the mandala, I can emphasize these features in a unique and captivating way. In my Botanical Mandalas, nature and geometry blend in mesmerizing symmetry. Each botanical subject was photographed and rotated at equidistant positions to complete a full rotation using my technique of Precise Incremental Rotation. An in-camera multiple exposure of 16-64 frames was used to create the effect.
